VOXELS: DICOM-Online Platform for Medical Study Simulations






VoxelX is a DICOM-Platform supported Blockchain designed for multidisciplinary learning in radiology.
Multidisciplinary learning is one of the most challenging tasks in medical education, both at postgraduate and postgraduate levels. And because the volume of information in medical science is growing rapidly, the demands on this type of learning are getting bigger.

VoxelX's mission is to revolutionize multidisciplinary learning by creating DICOM-online platform to simulate medical learning. The VoxelX team is one of several that works since 2013 in applying DICOM-images in medical e-learning especially in the field of radiology. The DICOM-beta version of our platform has been published online at www.voxelx.com in December 2016 at the annual RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) meeting in Chicago, USA.

The content of this platform is community-based, so that all members can share their knowledge and pre-validation cases both privately and publicly. And thus, by turning on this platform with blockchain we will be able to monetize online content and create incentives to encourage radiologists both as publishers and validators in building and expanding platform communities. With the help of the ERC-20 Ethereum tokens, we can design reward algorithms that pay radiologists for every small delivery and content and platform image updates. VoxelX will launch a token called GRAY and it will be used primarily to fund content creation from DICOM-Platform.

DICOM

DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) is the standard for the storage and transfer of medical images that enable the integration of medical imaging devices, such as scanners, servers, workstations, printers, network equipment and archiving and imaging systems (PACS) from several manufacturers. It is widely used by hospitals and penetrates into smaller applications, such as dental offices and doctors.

DICOM Online Platform

Our DICOM-platform is built to simulate radiological training. It is purely interactive and educational. One of its main features is the ability to comment and link structures and pathologies in DICOM images directly with all possible knowledge resources on the Internet. The implementation of the block chain on this platform. For training, the user is allowed to create their own files for further use or lecturing, and this is assisted by many automatic recognition functions, such as recognizing the same anatomical structure in a number of ways and associating it with the relevant knowledge resource. VoxelX Wallet

The platform is designed to create wallets for every user on the VoxelX wallet which is linked to the user's account. Also, it uses proof of work, which shows that the more contribution on the platform, the more tokens you get, coupled with the ranking system where users get rank according to their impact and contribution.
